At approximately 6:00 pm, a citizen, who had seen the press release on Facebook, spotted the stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart in Newport, Oregon.  The citizen called Newport Police Department.  Newport officers responded to the area and located the stolen vehicle as well as Howley.  Howley was taken into custody on Coos Bay Police Department’s charges.

The owner of the stolen vehicle was contacted and arrangements were made to return the vehicle.  Howley was transported to Coos County Jail, where he was lodged on Burglary II, Criminal Mischief I, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Attempt to Elude in Vehicle, and Reckless Driving, he will be held in custody pending his court appearance.
